Official Summary
The following is the official description of “No Love Zone” from Manta. It is provided here solely for reference. All rights belong to the original author and publisher.
My new boss is just my type! Eunkyum has been at his company for a year now. He’s friendly, bright, and has a great relationship with his colleagues. But he’s unlucky in love — most likely because he’s a sucker for looks. That’s why he was thrilled when his hot new boss joined the company… before he made Eunkyum’s life hell.
✨ 1. Introduction
By my internal BL timeline, “No Love Zone” belongs to the “pre-pandemic era” of webtoons (COVID hitting in 2020 really marked a shift in everything for me). Despite being an earlier title, “No Love Zone” already had a polished art style and seamless paneling—its visual quality immediately caught my attention.
The story begins with Han Jihyuk (the top) using his authority as Eunkyum (the bottom)’s new boss to mess with him—all because Eunkyum rejected him in high school. I was genuinely furious watching this unfold. As a working adult myself, I wanted to submit Eunkyum’s resignation letter for him and shout, “Please stop crushing on this guy already!”
But as Jihyuk realizes his mistake, he transforms into a clingy golden retriever top. Eunkyum, soft-hearted as he is, eventually gives in, and their sweet moments escalate fast—both emotionally and physically.
The side story even shifts into a fantasy setting with animal spirits, where Jihyuk becomes a protective mountain tiger helping a tiny bunny raise younger siblings. Too wholesome! 🧡

🧡 3. Why I Love This Webtoon
Eunkyum’s appearance
Many webtoons use eye-catching colors, “but No Love Zone” takes it to another level. I especially love the contrast in skin tones, which makes Eunkyum stand out so much. His little fangs peeking out when he talks make him look like a feisty kitten. Whenever Jihyuk hugs him from behind, Eunkyum looks irresistibly small and cuddly. He’s the ultimate seductive bottom—just by existing!
Jihyuk’s facial expressions
The artist has a real talent for subtle expression work. Jihyuk’s panic when Eunkyum gets mad, his quiet regret afterward, and even his goofy “yay~” faces are drawn so vividly. You can almost hear the voice acting. I find myself constantly admiring Danbi’s incredible control over emotional cues and visual rhythm.
Eunkyum’s friends and family
His twin siblings (a boy and girl who look just like him) are hilarious. They tease their big brother but also help nudge his relationship forward in the cutest ways. His friends, on the other hand, are pure chaos—they roast his hopeless romantic antics and say what we’re all thinking. I love every scene they’re in.
The author’s storytelling
This was my first Danbi webtoon, but I’m convinced the author could turn any story into a hit. “No Love Zone” doesn’t have a complex plot, and the character types aren’t groundbreaking. Eunkyum is a hopeless romantic; Jihyuk is a lovesick puppy who goes from teasing to doting, sometimes comes off as too overbearing. Some scenes might frustrate you, but the pacing and panel flow are so immersive that you’ll want to re-read the whole thing. I’d love to see Danbi collaborate with another writer one day—their combined strengths would be amazing.
🎯 4. Ratings
🎨 Art Style: ★★★★★
Everything looks polished and expressive. The transitions, camera angles, and comedic effects are top-tier.
Whenever a character experiences an emotional shock, the panel shifts to black and white, adding a humorous and dramatic touch to the story. One standout example is near the end of the series, when Jihyuk mistakenly believes Eunkyum is planning to move in with him. The moment he realizes it was just wishful thinking, the scene turns monochrome—like he’s been struck by lightning in his own little world. 😂
The children and chibi versions of the characters are so well drawn, I’d totally read a spinoff 4-panel comic of just those.
🎬 Story & Pacing: ★★★☆☆
While the panel flow is flawless, the emotional pacing moves a bit too fast.
Jihyuk runs into Eunkyum again ten years after high school, initially teasing him out of spite. But when Eunkyum finally pushes back in anger, Jihyuk panics and immediately turns into a doting boyfriend.
If we’d seen more of Jihyuk’s internal struggle, the shift would’ve felt more natural. Still, Danbi’s visual storytelling makes up for it—you’ll likely binge through all 64 episodes without even noticing.
💬 Memorable Line
“아침에 좀 더 낮잠 자도 되고…”
Jihyuk invites Eunkyum to sleep over because his place is closer to the office.
[Translation]: “You can sleep in a little longer in the morning…”
📚 5. Korean Grammar Highlight|What Does “-아/어도 되다” Mean?
In the line “아침에 좀 더 낮잠 자도 되고…”, the key grammar is –아/어도 되다, which means “it’s okay to…” or “you may…”.
So “자도 되고” = “it’s okay to sleep” → “You can sleep in.”
More examples:
지금 가도 돼요? (Can I go now?)
이거 먹어도 돼? (Can I eat this?)
집에서 쉬어도 돼요. (It’s okay to rest at home.)
🎥 This line appears in Episode #10 of my [Korean with BL Webtoons] Shorts series—learn how to say it and see Jihyuk’s sneaky persuasion tactic in action!
🟦 6. Who Should Read This (And Who Might Not)
✅ You’ll love this if:
• You enjoy tall, hot tops × pretty, pouty bottoms
• You like cute child characters (Eunkyum’s siblings!)
• You’re into clingy tops who won’t let go once they’ve confessed
🚫 Maybe skip it if:
• You get annoyed by overly romantic bottoms who lose all sense of logic
• If you don’t enjoy tops who act like grade schoolers teasing their crush (especially in the early parts of the story)
But if you’re okay with a little emotional chaos, “No Love Zone” is still a heartwarming ride with top-tier visuals and great comedic timing.
🔚 7. Final Thoughts
I’m giving “No Love Zone” a solid ★★★★. The plot might not be perfect, but the visuals and character chemistry more than make up for it.
