Unfortunately, the adaptation only covers the first two volumes of the novel, ending at a mid-point in the story. When the two reunite, Kim Sin awkwardly tries to approach Yeon-woo, and it’s adorable—completely breaking his cold-and-distant persona. His expression when they meet again is such a contrast to his earlier stay-away-from-me vibes—total double standard! Yeonwoo is clearly drawn to him from the start but too scared to get close, biting his lip without realizing it, which drives Kim Sin wild. Honestly, readers will probably want to scream from the tension (in the best way).
Yeon-woo’s inner monologues are lowkey hilarious
Yeon-woo often breaks the tension with his dry, self-deprecating humor, making the heavy story feel lighter and more relatable. Even side characters add charm with their clueless but lovable personalities.
